Mama African
She gave me so much tender love. And I thank the Most High above.
She is always with hope.
Though daddy is getting down with dope.
Sometimes, I cry very loud.
Then she'll cover me like the cloud.
Bath me, feed me and lay me to sleep.
All this means, her love for me is deep.
She is kind, caring and have affection.
I can never deny her strong adoration.
She is my help in times of helpless.
Yes! Mama African is never hopeless.
She held her breath to give me life.
She can never cut from my mind by a knife.
I promised never to rumble.
But shall always be humble.
For nine months, I was in her womb.
Protecting me like a bird in the tomb.
I appreciate you to the max Mama African
One love and blessed love to you Mama African.
She inspired me to the top of my desire-ration
So I hope to reach the top of my aspiration
I can never clear away her memories.
Even if being stroked by too much miseries.
Mama! Mama!! I shouts when am hungry.
She gives me food without being angry.
My son! She says, never be trembled.
Just be careful and never gamble.
Humble! Hold high what is on your head.
Keep it high and call it your locks or dread.
Write something for someone to read.
Am talking of the generations ahead.
I have got but only one Mama African.
The one I held high like my African heritage.
Mama African is a woman of prime.
That's why she urges me to avoid crime.
I owe you Mama African but more love.
I know you are a blessing from above.
I bestowed you with all that I have.
So when I die, those I love may keep what I have.
