Motherless
Who can boldly say,
Their hearts delights in their mothers alone.
Who have no bothering mind like mine.
Wondering for having but a only dead mother.
Oh! What at all is my gift in this world.
Which is almost half way gone.
Now, I have got to make up a mind.
To learn how to live without a mother.
Ha-ah! at this tender age!,
I am motherless, Lord have Mercy.
Though all night long,
I have got some peaceful sleep,
There is a part of me still missing.
She is but the only one I have got.
And there seem nothing to compare to her.
Or better still, something to replace her.
If money, then who for am I struggling?
And if a lover, then who is to see us and guide or advice us?
She is my Mama African.
The mother of my world.
If you have got a mother,
Care for her very most.
And if you have lost a mother,
Then be careful how you live.
For your mother is your life.
Oh! it's a great mystery.
Living life without a mother at this age.
Be very careful all of you who are motherless as I am.
